Taking Safety Training to the Next Level
To expand our commitment to the health and safety of our workforce, our President, Domenic Monopoli created and founded The Filco Safety School in 2014.
Located at the company headquarters, this facility regularly hosts smaller safety seminars, every couple of weeks, all year round. The smaller setting allows for team members to be more open in asking questions, and sharing information.
Our weekly training sessions are conducted by an Independent Certified NYS DOT Instructor to ensure a top-notch safe work environment.

New State-of-the-Art Truck Fleet
Filco Carting Corp. now has the newest truck fleet in the New York City metro area. We have invested in new trucks for each division of our fleet, with more on order. Our trucks are geared with Federal and NYS Safety equipment including bright side-guards, new scales, automatic start/stop ignitions, among other improvements.
Routine Truck Inspection
Filco Carting Corp. conducts nightly truck and equipment inspections before trucks leave headquarters for their routes.
On-Board Cameras
Most trucks are equipped with onboard LIVE 4 CAMERA SYSTEM.
Union Drivers’
Our drivers are members of the Laborers Local Union 108. Our teams earn the highest rate of pay and benefits in the industry.
Night Foremen
Filco Carting Corp. has two night shift foremen on duty with a combined 25 years of experience. Our foremen follow our fleet on each shift.
Certified Mechanics
Filco Carting Corp. employs four full-time, highly experienced mechanics. We are also in the discovery phase to become an apprenticeship location for local diesel mechanic schools.
DMV & LENS Transcripts
The NYS License Event Notification Service (LENS) supplies important information about the driving qualifications, of drivers that we employ or regulate. Organizations that use LENS can quickly identify their problem drivers, and focus efforts to improve safety and decrease vulnerability.
In-House Health & Safety Personnel
Filco Carting Corp. employs a Fleet Safety Supervisor.

Filco Carting Corp. only hires highly qualified drivers with excellent driving records, with minimum turnover. Filco Carting drivers average 20 years with the company, proving to be the best in the industry.
Drug & Alcohol Testing
Staff members are subject to random testing, as well as pre-employment testing.
