Dear Filco Customer,

As news about COVID-19 and the global response to the pandemic has continued to unfold, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for continuing to be a Filco customer and update you on what steps are being done at Filco Carting Corp. to address the crisis.

My top priorities are to keep our employees and our customers safe, while ensuring that we are able to continue to deliver the best in class service. As one of the oldest private haulers in New York City, we have a responsibility to lead by example.

Accordingly, we have taken the following actions this week:


  1. Out of an abundance of caution,
    we have recommended that all non-essential employees work from home.
  2. We have implemented a COVID-19 Control Policy
    that details our efforts to control the spread of the virus.
  3. We have established a company-wide emergency communication system
    that allows us to disseminate important notices via e-mail, SMS & voice.
  4. The cabs of our trucks are being professionally sanitized
    at the beginning and end of every shift.
  5. All our drivers and helpers have been supplied
    with new work gloves, eye protection and face masks.
  6. Following the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
    we have implemented a policy prohibiting guests from entering Filco Carting’s office without per-approval from a designated administrator.

Our contingency planning protocols mean that you can anticipate no disruption in terms of your communications and service with Filco Carting Corp. We simply wanted to inform you about these precautionary steps that we are taking to protect our employees and ensure you know that Filco Carting will continue to be actively working with you during these unprecedented time.
