The FleetFilco is the first NYC commercial waste and recycling hauler to use low decibel, non-polluting, compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks to service Manhattan. These trucks far exceed DOT noise level standards for all types of commercial vehicles operating in NYC. They emit no noxious diesel fumes. In fact, they exceed EPA certified emissions standards of 1.4 grams NOx and 0.01 grams of particulates.
“We are the first private company in the five boroughs to use these new CNG trucks. The normal trucks that run are just not good for the environment,” Domenic Monopoli.
The Recycling
Filco Carting Corp. has streamlined its recycling practices. This enables us to gain revenues and reduce disposal costs from the sale and landfill diversion of recovered material. By avoiding high disposal costs we are able to pass the savings to our customers, as well as help preserve the environment. More than 90% of the waste processed by Filco is recycled. Filco's recovery facility recycles a variety of materials including; paper, wood, plastic, metal and more. We increase revenues, reduce disposal costs and divert these materials from landfill.
